Mary Connolly (1845-1921)

Mary (1845-1921) is Dermot's 2nd great grandmother.

Dermot is descended through:

*      her daughter, Mary Jane Lloyd (1868-1915) married John Roche (1867-1950)

*      their daughter, Frances Roche (1902-1966) married Edward Westhoff (1902-1957)

*      their son, Gerald Westhoff (1928-2012) married Mary Carmel Boushell (1926-1974)

*      their son Dermot Edward Patrick Westhoff

According to the 1871 census, Mary was born in Ireland in 1843, her death certificate gives her year of birth as 1845

At the moment, I cannot find any census records for Mary after 1871. I have found some records from the Liverpool Workhouse, but I am still working on making sure that they belong to this Mary Lloyd. The last record I have is for her death, which implies that she probably remained in Liverpool from when her husband John died until she died in 1921.

1921

Mary died age 76 at 7 Stanley Road, Liverpool, the cause of her death was given as gastric catarrh and senectus. The informant of her death was Agnes Roche (granddaughter). She was buried in Ford Cemetery, Liverpool on 28 April 1921.
