Will: Rebecca Dutton Goodwin (1853-1898)

I haven't found many wills so far, so this was a bit of a surprise.

Rebecca Dutton Goodwin is my 3rd great aunt, our common ancestors are Benjamin and Jane (Crump) Goodwin, my 3rd great grandparents.

The transcript reads:
This is the last and only Will of me Rebecca Goodwin of 178 Newton Street, Macclesfield in the County of Chester. I give and bequeath to my dear mother Jane Goodwin all of my monies and effects absolutely. In witness whereof I the said Rebecca Goodwin have hereunto set my hand second day of June one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight. And lastly I appoint Jonathan Goodwin Power Loom Overlocker 130 Bond Street Macclesfield Cheshire to be the executor hereof. And I revoke all former wills made by me. In witness whereof I the said Rebecca Goodwin have hereunto set my hand this June second day of one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight-----Rebecca Goodwin------ Signed by the said Rebecca Goodwin the testator in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses-----Mary Goodwin, Confectioner, 178 Newton Street, Macclesfield-----Edward John Taylor, Printer, 130 Bond Street, Macclesfield.

On the 19th July 1898 Probate of this Will was granted at Chester to Jonathan Goodwin the sole executor.

Below is the Probate Record showing that Rebecca died on 5 July 1898. She was 45 years old when she died and the will was written a few weeks before this.
