On this day, 18 December 1854, which was a Monday, Thomas Meakin (1835-1888) and Sarah Griffiths (1835-1909) my 2nd great grandparents were married in the Parish Church, Prestbury, Cheshire.
Thomas Meakin, age 20, bachelor, block cutter, living in Sutton. Father: John Meakin, labourer
Sarah Griffiths, age 19, living in Macclesfield. Father: John Griffiths, labourer
Witnesses: John Meakin (brother of Thomas) and Charlotte Griffiths (sister of Sarah)
