  • Sarah Ann Alcock is my 2nd great grandmother and I am descended through:
  • her son, Rupert John Hassall (1878-1942) who married Drucilla Hudson (1877-1936)
  • his daughter, Freda Hassall (1909-1974) who married William Wain (1909-1957) 
  • her son, John Stanton Wain (1937-) who married Sheila Hooley (1938-)
  • Judith Yvonne Wain (1958-)
Sarah Ann was born in August 1846 in Fenton, Staffordshire to Thomas and Ann (Swettenham) Alcock. She was baptised on 30 August 1846 in Christ Church, Fenton, Staffordshire. Her father’s occupation was given as labourer.
