Fanny Mason (1851-1932)

 Fanny Mason (1851-1932) is my 2nd great grandmother.

 

I am descended through:

*      her daughter, Clara Ann Hemmings (1878-1967) who married John Meakin (1880-1917)

*      their daughter, Brenda Meakin (1912-1982), who married Eric Hooley (1908-1992)

*      their daughter, Sheila Hooley (1938-….), who married #6 John Stanton Wain (1937-….)

*      Judith Yvonne Wain


Fanny was born on 4 January 1851 in Coppenhall, Cheshire to William and Mary (Walley) Mason. She was baptized on 10 July 1853 at St Michael’s church, Crewe. William’s occupation is given as labourer.

Fanny was working in the Wilkinson household as a servant.

Fanny married Abraham Hemmings on 31 December 1874 in St Paul’s church, Crewe.

Fanny Mason, age 23, spinster. Father: William Mason, labourer

Witnesses: Joseph Mason (Fanny’s brother) and Hannah Horton (Abraham’s sister)

Fanny died in June 1932, in Nantwich, Cheshire. She was buried on 16 June 1932 in Crewe Cemetery, Cheshire.
